A Preview of Gamers8

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (PSF) - Gamers8 kicks off tomorrow with 16 participating teams competing for a prize pool of one million dollars.

This is the last time for some of these teams to show us what they got before the start of Counter-Strike 2 implementation in the pro scene.

There are a lot of starting matchups that will be exciting to watch between teams looking to prove their worth.

The best matchups to watch on the first day will be Natus Vincere versus FURIA, 9INE versus G2, and ENCE versus Team Liquid.

FURIA had a poor showing at IEM Cologne after making some of the biggest moves during the offseason giving nearly one million dollars in contracts to players like Chelo and FalleN. This will be a good opportunity to show that they made the right move if they are able to compete with one of the best teams in the world with Natus Vincere.

G2 is coming off of their big win at IEM Cologne and this matchup against 9INE could be a sneaky upset. 9INE played above expectations at Cologne competing well against teams like ENCE and Team Liquid.

ENCE is coming off an upsetting loss on the big stage at Cologne and starts the event off going against a squad that did not perform to expectation in Team Liquid.

Liquid is looking to get to the form we saw them at the Fall Groups and one way to do that would be to beat ENCE in their first matchup since Cologne.

Other notable teams that I am looking forward to seeing play are Falcons with their new addition of BOROS from Monte appearing in his first event with the new team since leaving Monte during the player break.

Virtus Pro will be exciting to watch as they did not appear at the Paris Major and at both the Fall Groups and IEM Cologne. They face off against FaZe on Thursday in a match that I could see going the full three maps.

You can watch all the games on the Gamers8 Twitch and YouTube channels.
