Baseball America released its annual list that ranks the top 100 prospects in Major League Baseball’s minor league system. 

The Philadelphia Phillies landed two prospects on the list, right-handed pitcher Mick Abel at 51 and shortstop Bryson Stott at 67.

Abel, who was drafted by the Phillies with the 15th overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft, remains on the list from the 2020 rankings.

The 6’5” righty jumped up 48 spots from his No. 99 in 2020. 

Stott, the 14th overall pick in the 2019 draft, was unranked during Baseball America’s 2020 rankings.

After major strides during the September Arizona Fall League, the 24-year-old was selected to the All-Arizona Fall League Team. 

Through 26 games, Stott managed a line of .318/.445/.489 with 31 RBIs and 24 walks.

Former Phillies prospect Sixto Sanchez slotted in at No. 64. The right-hander peaked at No. 1 on the Phillies Top 30 Prospect list and was later dealt to Miami for all-star catcher J.T. Realmuto.

The Phillies are known for their poor development of prospects and are subject to low farm system rankings. 

Abel and Stott show promise and very well could end up higher on the Top 100 list down the line.
