The Tampa Bay Rays scored three runs in the 10th inning, after going into extras tied at six. The Run fest started back in the first inning where an Isaac Paredes double to left field would score Harold Ramirez all the way from first base to give the Rays a 1-0 lead. After the Angels scored five runs in the first and second inning, the Rays would start chipping away at the lead in the fourth inning, with a Josh Lowe double to left field scoring two runs making it 5-3 Angels. Right after Rene Pinto hit a single to right field, scoring Lowe from second.

The very next inning, Randy Arozarena would walk, and Harold Ramirez would follow that up with a double down the left field line, scoring Arozarena from first tying the game at 5. The sixth inning would be quiet for the Rays, but in the seventh inning Ramirez would get his second RBI of the game as he shot a single up the middle scoring Yandy Diaz from second, after he walked and advanced to second on a wild pitch, making the score 6-5 in favor of the Rays. Unfortunately, The Angels would tie the game in the bottom of the seventh with a Brandon Drury double.

The Rays were in prime position to score in the bottom of the ninth inning where both Yandy Diaz and Randy Arozarena singled to start the inning. Harold Ramirez then grounded to shortstop Luis Rengifo who started the regular 6-4-3 double play. Yandy Diaz would advance to third base on the double play but tried to be aggressive and go home but was thrown out by first baseman Nolan Schanuel for the triple play.

In the 10th inning, Jose Siri would be the ghost runner on second base, pitch running for Ramirez, and he would move to third base on a wild pitch. Paredes would then be hit by a pitch. Luke Raley would follow up with a single to right field scoring Siri giving the Rays a 7-6 lead. Angels pitcher Carlos Estevez would strike out both Curtis Mead and Osleivis Basabe, hoping to limit the Rays to only one run. Unfortunately for Estevez, after a nine pitch at-bat, Josh Lowe would get his third RBI of the game, with a single to center field, giving the Rays an extra run. Aaron Loup would replace Estevez, but Rene Pinto would hit a single off of him as well, scoring the Rays 9th and final run of the game.

The Rays and Angels will play a doubleheader on Saturday with the first game scheduled for 4:07 PM ET, and the second game for 9:07 PM ET. Tyler Glasnow will take the start in the first game after having a Quality Start in his last outing against the San Francisco Giants, going 6 innings, only giving up 1 run on 3 hits and striking out 7. In the second game Zach Eflin will take the mound, who is looking to bounce back from his last start against the Cleveland Guardians, where he gave up 6 runs in 3 innings on 9 hits and 2 homeruns.
