What Lineup Will the Yankees Send out Opening Day?

Bronx, NY (PSF) - With the MLB season about to start, let's take a look at one of the most talked about teams in the MLB, the New York Yankees. While they have many star players such as Aaron Judge and Gerrit Cole, they do have weak spots. A lot of talk the past year and off-season has been about Josh Donaldson and Isiah Kiner-Falefa. While the franchise seems to be backing up these players all the time, the fans want a change. It looks like they will be getting this change with the arrival of star prospect Anthony Volpe. While fans and the franchise seem to have different views for what the starting lineup for the Yankees should be, a lineup will be sent out this Thursday. Let's take a look at the lineup that will most likely be seen this Thursday.

1-DJ LeMahieu(Designated Hitter:DH)

2-Aaron Judge(Center Field:CF)

3-Anthony Rizzo(First Base:1B)

4-Gioncarlo Stanton(Right Field:RF)

5-Gleyber Torres(Second Base:2B)

6-Josh Donaldon(Third Base:3B)

7-Aaron Hicks(Left Field:LF)

8-Jose Trevino(Catcher:C)

9-Anthony Volpe(Shortstop:SS)

I do see this lineup drastically changing throughout the season and by the end of year, I expect a whole new lineup. This lineup includes:

1-Anthony Volpe(SS)

2-Aaron Judge(RF)

3-Anthony Rizzo(1B)

4-Gioncarlo Stanton(DH)

5-DJ Lemahieu(3B)

6-Oswaldo Cabrera(LF)

7-Harrison Bader(CF)

8-Jose Trevino(C)

9-Oswaldo Peraza(2B)

I do expect DJ, Trevino, Rizzo, Volpe, Judge and Stanton to stay in the lineup the whole year. Unfortunately, I do see the Yankees trading Gleyber to make space for Pereza and I see the Yankees trying to get rid of Hicks and Donaldson at the deadline as well. The play of Cabrera in his short tenure in the MLB has been outstanding and I fully expect him to end up in the lineup. While Bader is currently injured, I do expect him to take back his role in CF and hopefully continue what he was doing in the playoffs last year. Besides that, everything else hopefully will stay the same, barring injuries.

Tune in March 30th to see the Yankees chase for 28 begin.
