NL Wild Card Race Heating Up
With only 10 days left in the season the National League Wild Card Standings are neck and neck. The Atlanta Braves are only 2 games behind the New York Mets and Arizona Diamondbacks and only 4.5 games back of the San Diego Padres. The New York Mets probably have the hardest remaining schedule in baseball having to play 4 games against the Philadelphia Phillies who have the best record in baseball, 3 against the Atlanta Braves who are also fighting for a playoff berth and the Milwaukee Brewers who have already clinched the NL Central. The Atlanta Braves have a much easier schedule with 3 games against the Miami Marlins who have nothing to play for, The Mets like I mentioned earlier and finish out with 3 against the Royals who will be a tough team to play. The Diamondbacks also have an extremely tough schedule playing the Milwakuee Brewers in a 3 game series, The San Francisco Giants in a 3 game series, and finishing the season off with 3 against the Padres who are just ahead of them in the standings. I personally think the Padres Diamondbacks and Braves will be the teams to make it with the Mets just missing because of their extremely hard schedule.
