Game Recap: Angels vs. Dodgers
The Freeway Series is always an exciting series for Los Angeles baseball fans. With the Dodgers dominating the National League West and the Angels trailing behind the American League West, Friday’s game was bound to be eventful.
The Dodgers started the game strong, scoring two runs off Patrick Sandoval in the first inning. After that, Clayton Kershaw carried the game, throwing eight scoreless innings. However, Kershaw’s perfect game was interrupted by Luis Rengifo, who doubled in the eighth inning. The Angels scored when Brandon Marsh homered in the bottom of the ninth. The final score was 9-1.
Although Kershaw’s perfect game was ruined, the Dodgers still managed to have a victorious evening. Kershaw was rewarded with a standing ovation. Game after game, Kershaw proves his spot as a future Hall of Famer.
